Cane Thumper
Price range: $3.59 through $12.99
The hard- thumping action of the Cane Thumper is irresistible to bass. No matter how you rig it, the specially placed hook pockets on the top, bottom, and sides allow the bait to easily collapse for better hook sets. Try them on a weighted hook, jighead, swim jig, bladed jig, or A-Rig.

This is my go-to swimbait, because they work. I catch bass on 4 or 5 colors, but around here “chick magnet” is far and away the leader. I kayak fish with 6 rods rigged, and one is always a Cane Thumper. Weedless rig, great body roll (not just a tail wiggle), it looks like a sitting duck swimming by on a steady retrieve.
I fish all three sizes, but I wish they would go bigger on the top one. It’s hard to tell the difference between the top two. Make the biggest a 6 or 7 inch and let’s go looking for a big boy.
